On September 4, Honda Italia had the honor of welcoming Honda Motor Co. President Toshihiro Mibe to its Atessa plant, accompanied by Katsuhisa Okuda, President of Honda Motor Europe Ltd., and a delegation of top management.
The visit confirmed the strategic importance of the Abruzzo site, Honda’s main production hub for two-wheelers in Europe and a recognized center of excellence for over fifty years. The delegation toured the production areas, focusing on logistics, energy sustainability, process quality, and the development of new models, with special attention to the contribution of the people behind iconic products such as the SH family.
President Mibe met with employees and young associates, engaging in an open discussion on professional values, sustainability, and Honda’s long-term technological vision. To mark the occasion, he planted an olive tree within the site — a symbol of deep roots and a forward-looking perspective.
